Catering in Norbiton: the local picture

We have been feeding events across Norbiton (KT1 and KT2) long enough to know where the vans can park and which rooms have no kitchen. It sits 4.5 miles from our Richmond base — around 20 minutes — so we plan every departure backwards from your service time. Locally that usually means community hall bookings and church events, and we know Norbiton Station, Kingston Cemetery and Fairfield Recreation Ground well enough to advise on access before you book, including Norbiton Community Hall and St Peter's Church Norbiton.

Halal is not an add-on here: there is no second, non-halal supply chain in our kitchen, so every dish going to Norbiton — buffet, drop-off or live stall — is halal by default. Vegan and vegetarian menus are prepared as their own dishes, not as leftovers from the meat trays, and are labelled on the line. Allergen details come to you in writing beforehand, and the kitchen is FSA 5-star rated. Delivery to Norbiton is free — it is inside our ten-mile radius, with per-head pricing from £25 to £60.

Indian catering near me in Norbiton

A Norbiton search for Indian catering near you reaches a kitchen a short drive away in Richmond TW10. Norbiton straddles KT1 and KT2, both inside our free delivery radius, so the per-head price is the price you pay with no travel charge added.

Most Norbiton bookings are church halls, school rooms and homes off Cambridge Road and London Road, where parking is tight and timings matter. We agree an arrival window, unload in one run, and bring our own trestle tables, covers and chafing units so a room with no kitchen still works. Nothing is cooked on site — everything is prepared in TW10 and kept hot on arrival.

Norbiton work is mostly family celebrations and christenings, community and church hall gatherings, and weekday office buffets for the businesses around Kingston Hospital and the Cambridge Road estate.

The complete guide to catering in Norbiton

Jaflong Catering serves Norbiton (KT1, KT2) from our Richmond kitchen 4.5 miles away, about twenty minutes, with fully halal Indian and Bangladeshi catering for community hall bookings, church events and school functions from £25 per head, delivered free.

Twenty minutes to Norbiton, delivered free

Norbiton covers KT1 and KT2 and is 4.5 miles from 16 Ashburnham Road, Richmond TW10 7NF — about twenty minutes. Both postcodes are inside the ten-mile radius, so delivery is free.

Norbiton work is overwhelmingly hall-based, and halls are where preparation shows. We check the power, the hatch and the table run before the day rather than discovering them at load-in.

    • Postcodes covered: KT1 and KT2.
    • Areas we know well: Norbiton Station, Kingston Cemetery, Fairfield Recreation Ground.
    • Venues we have catered at or delivered to: Norbiton Community Hall, St Peter's Church Norbiton, local schools.

The Norbiton events we cater most

Three formats cover almost all KT1 and KT2 bookings here.

    • Community hall bookings at Norbiton Community Hall — high headcount at a controlled budget, a self-served line, and a clear-down that has to finish inside the hall's booking slot.
    • Church events at St Peter's — mixed ages and mixed spice tolerance, so mild dishes sit beside hot ones and everything is labelled.
    • School functions — written allergen information supplied in advance, a separate labelled vegetarian and vegan section, and service that fits a school's own timetable.

    What Norbiton tables order

KT1 and KT2 book most often around Chicken Dopiaza — chicken in a double onion preparation that suits a hall crowd — Tarka Dal, yellow lentils tempered with garlic and the dish that quietly feeds the vegetarian half of the room, and Pilau Rice, aromatic basmati with whole spices.

Indian catering menu and prices for a Norbiton booking

Bronze at £25 per head from twenty guests is a complete curry buffet — two mains plus rice or bread. Silver at £35 adds a starter and a vegetarian main and is where most party and office bookings land. Gold at £45 brings in the tandoor selection and a fuller vegetarian and vegan spread, which is why it dominates weddings. Platinum at £60 is for events where the food is the centrepiece.

Every tier is priced per head, and every tier is fully halal from a single supply chain, so a mixed guest list never needs two caterers. The full dish list is on our menu page, and the quote builder prices your exact guest count against it.

    Halal, dietary requirements and allergens

Everything leaving our kitchen is halal. Vegetarian and vegan dishes are cooked as their own dishes and served from their own labelled section of the line rather than spooned from the same tray.

Written allergen information is provided before the event, not read out on the day. Our kitchen holds a 5-star Food Hygiene Rating from the Food Standards Agency, which is usually what a Norbiton school, club, church or civic venue asks to see before letting a caterer through the door.

Getting a price for your Norbiton event

The quote builder returns a per-head figure against your guest count, date and venue, with free delivery. If you would rather talk it through, call 020 8332 1339 or WhatsApp 07436 026277 — we are a family business, so you will speak to someone who will be involved in your event. Bookings are confirmed with a 50% deposit, with the 50% balance due before the event.

Drop-off and collection buffets in Norbiton

Not every party needs staff on site. Most of what we cook for Norbiton goes out as a buffet you either collect from our kitchen at 16 Ashburnham Road, Richmond TW10 7NF, or we drop off ready to serve — dishes hot in foil trays or chafers, breads, rice, salads, sauces and disposables, set out so guests can help themselves. At 4.5 miles and roughly 20 minutes away, drop-off in Norbiton is free.

We drop off across KT1 and KT2. Buffets from our kitchen regularly go out to Norbiton Community Hall, St Peter's Church Norbiton, Local Schools and the surrounding streets. Norbiton keeps us busiest with community hall bookings and church events, and those are almost always served buffet style.

Two ways to take a buffet

    • Pick up from Richmond — order ahead, collect at your agreed time and take it straight to the venue or house. The cheapest way to feed a crowd, with no delivery fee at any distance.
    • Drop-off buffet — we deliver and lay the buffet out for you, then leave you to it. Free within ten miles of Richmond, a fixed fee between ten and twenty, quoted individually beyond that.
    • Staffed service — for larger receptions where you want the buffet replenished, served and cleared during the event.

Party catering in Norbiton, small or large

Parties are what we do most: birthdays, christenings and aqiqahs, engagements, office lunches, house gatherings, community and hall events. An intimate dinner for ten and a hall buffet for three hundred are costed the same way — per head, from our Bronze £25, Silver £35, Gold £45 and Platinum £60 packages, with the tier deciding how many starters, mains, breads, rice dishes and sides you pick.

    • Small gatherings — from around ten guests, collection or drop-off, no staffing needed.
    • Regular and repeat orders — weekly office lunches, standing family orders and recurring community bookings are welcome; tell us the pattern and we hold the slot.
    • Large parties — chafer buffets, extra trays and staffed service for hall-sized guest counts.
    • Every menu, one kitchen — fully halal, alcohol-free, with full vegetarian and vegan menus on the same order.

We run the same collection and drop-off buffet service either side of Norbiton: party catering in Hampton, party catering in Isleworth, party catering in Kingston Hill and party catering in Roehampton.

To arrange a collection or drop-off buffet in Norbiton, call 020 8332 1339, WhatsApp 07436 026277 or send us your date and guest numbers. Per-head prices are on our pricing page.
