Catering in New Malden: the local picture

Catering in New Malden is a different job depending on which end of KT3 you are in — a garden party near New Malden High Street needs a different setup to a hall booking at New Malden Methodist Church and Christ Church New Malden. What does not change is the run: 5.5 miles and about 24 minutes from Richmond, close enough that mains reach the chafers hot instead of being reheated on site. The bookings we take here most often are korean-indian fusion events and church gatherings.

Everything we cook for New Malden is halal, from one supply chain, so a mixed guest list never needs two caterers or two vans. Vegetarian and vegan dishes are cooked separately and served from their own labelled section of the line. Our kitchen holds a 5-star Food Hygiene Rating from the Food Standards Agency and we send written allergen information before the event. Delivery to New Malden is free — it is inside our ten-mile radius. Packages run from Bronze at £25 per head to Platinum at £60.

The complete guide to catering in New Malden

Jaflong Catering serves New Malden (KT3) from our Richmond kitchen 5.5 miles away — about twenty-four minutes — with fully halal Indian and Bangladeshi catering for community festivals, church gatherings and multicultural celebrations from £25 per head.

Catering in New Malden, cooked in Richmond

New Malden is 5.5 miles from 16 Ashburnham Road, Richmond TW10 7NF — about twenty-four minutes — and KT3 sits inside our ten-mile radius, so delivery is free.

Most KT3 bookings are in church halls and school halls where the kitchen is a serving hatch and a kettle. We plan for that: chafers, utensils, plates and napkins come with us, and we bring the mains up to temperature on site rather than relying on the venue.

    • Postcode covered: KT3.
    • Areas we know well: New Malden High Street, Manor Park, Beverley Park.
    • Venues we have catered at or delivered to: New Malden Methodist Church, Christ Church New Malden, Burlington Junior School.

The New Malden events we cater most

New Malden is one of the most mixed communities we serve, and the brief usually reflects that.

    • Multicultural community celebrations — a guest list where no single dish is a safe default, so the line needs range at both the mild and the hot end.
    • Church gatherings — set service times, long tables and a hall with limited facilities.
    • Events sitting alongside New Malden's Korean food scene, where our part of the table is the Indian and Bangladeshi half rather than the whole menu.

    What New Malden tables order

The most-ordered dishes here are Chicken Balti (Birmingham-style curry served in a traditional balti dish), Lamb Karahi — wok-style lamb with tomatoes — and Aloo Paratha, a stuffed flatbread with spiced potato that works as both a vegetarian main and a shared side.

Diverse dietary requirements are the norm at KT3 events, so we take them at the enquiry stage rather than on the day, and we lay the vegetarian and vegan section out separately and label it.

Choosing a package for a New Malden booking

Bronze at £25 per head from twenty guests is a complete curry buffet — two mains plus rice or bread. Silver at £35 adds a starter and a vegetarian main and is where most party and office bookings land. Gold at £45 brings in the tandoor selection and a fuller vegetarian and vegan spread, which is why it dominates weddings. Platinum at £60 is for events where the food is the centrepiece.

Every tier is priced per head and every tier is fully halal from a single supply chain, so a mixed guest list never needs two caterers.

    Halal, dietary requirements and allergens

Everything leaving our kitchen is halal. Vegetarian and vegan dishes are cooked as their own dishes and served from their own labelled section of the line rather than spooned from the same tray.

Written allergen information is provided before the event, not read out on the day. Our kitchen holds a 5-star Food Hygiene Rating from the Food Standards Agency, which is usually what a New Malden school, church or civic venue asks to see before letting a caterer through the door.

Getting a price for your New Malden event

The quote builder returns a per-head figure against your guest count, date and venue, with free delivery. If you would rather talk it through, call 020 8332 1339 or WhatsApp 07436 026277 — we are a family business, so you will speak to someone who will be involved in your event.

New Malden catering — Indian catering services for KT3

If you are searching for catering in New Malden, the first number that matters is the drive: 5.5 miles from our Richmond kitchen, about twenty-four minutes, inside the ten-mile radius, so delivery is free and the per-head price is the whole price.

Three service formats cover almost every KT3 booking. Drop-off buffet, set up in copper chafers with disposables. Staffed service, where we stay through the event and clear down afterwards. And live cooking with a tandoor on site, where the hall or garden has the space and the venue agrees it.

    • Per head: Bronze £25, Silver £35, Gold £45, Platinum £60, from twenty guests, free delivery to KT3.
    • Event catering, party catering and corporate catering in New Malden, chosen dish by dish from the full menu.
    • Chicken balti, lamb karahi and aloo paratha are the KT3 regulars; vegetarian and vegan dishes are cooked and served separately.

Not every party needs staff on site. Most of what we cook for New Malden goes out as a buffet you either collect from our kitchen at 16 Ashburnham Road, Richmond TW10 7NF, or we drop off ready to serve — dishes hot in foil trays or chafers, breads, rice, salads, sauces and disposables, set out so guests can help themselves. We drop off across KT3. Buffets from our kitchen regularly go out to New Malden Methodist Church, Christ Church New Malden, Burlington Junior School and the surrounding streets. Two ways to take a buffet

    • Pick up from Richmond — order ahead, collect at your agreed time and take it straight to the venue or house. The cheapest way to feed a crowd, with no delivery fee at any distance.
    • Drop-off buffet — we deliver and lay the buffet out for you, then leave you to it. Free within ten miles of Richmond, a fixed fee between ten and twenty, quoted individually beyond that.
    • Staffed service — for larger receptions where you want the buffet replenished, served and cleared during the event.

Party catering in New Malden, small or large

Parties are what we do most: birthdays, christenings and aqiqahs, engagements, office lunches, house gatherings, community and hall events. An intimate dinner for ten and a hall buffet for three hundred are costed the same way — per head, from our Bronze £25, Silver £35, Gold £45 and Platinum £60 packages, with the tier deciding how many starters, mains, breads, rice dishes and sides you pick.

    • Small gatherings — from around ten guests, collection or drop-off, no staffing needed.
    • Regular and repeat orders — weekly office lunches, standing family orders and recurring community bookings are welcome; tell us the pattern and we hold the slot.
    • Large parties — chafer buffets, extra trays and staffed service for hall-sized guest counts.
    • Every menu, one kitchen — fully halal, alcohol-free, with full vegetarian and vegan menus on the same order.

We run the same collection and drop-off buffet service either side of New Malden: party catering in Putney, party catering in Hanworth, party catering in East Molesey and party catering in Surbiton.
