Event catering in Sheen — for school, club and community organisers
SW14 events run on volunteers and tight budgets. We bring hot Indian food, allergen paperwork and a stall that clears itself away.
Sheen's events are mostly neighbourhood-scale and school-led: summer fairs on school fields, Christmas markets along the Upper Richmond Road, club fixtures and church hall evenings. The organiser is usually a parent or a volunteer doing it on top of a job, which is why the catering has to be the easy part of the day.
We deliver hot from our Richmond kitchen, a short run up through Mortlake, so SW14 falls inside the free delivery radius. Food arrives ready to serve in chafing units with dish cards naming spice level and allergens — nothing for your volunteers to assemble.
East Sheen also sits on the Great River Race course, so the September race weekend brings crews, support teams and spectators who all need feeding at awkward hours.

Getting food to you in Sheen
- • Free delivery — SW14 is a short run from our Richmond kitchen with no fee.
- • School site access usually needs a named contact and a gate time; give us both and we plan around the school day.
- • Hot-held service means the food is ready whenever your programme actually reaches the food, not when it was supposed to.
- • Great River Race weekend books up early — the towpath side of Sheen gets busy and parking is restricted.
Who books us here
- • PTA and school fair committees
- • Church and community hall organisers
- • Sports and rowing clubs
- • Residents' associations and street party organisers
- • Local businesses sponsoring a community day
How the money works
Every booking is a paid booking. We do not provide donated food, free stalls or sponsorship in kind, including for charity and not-for-profit events — the overheads are the same whoever the day is for. There are three ways we trade, and whichever it is goes in writing before the date is held:
- • A flat catering fee, quoted against your menu and numbers.
- • A guaranteed minimum spend, underwritten by the organiser.
- • A pitch fee plus a share of takings.
Cross-promotion sits alongside a paid booking, never instead of one: we will promote your event to our website, social channels and mailing list, and we are glad to co-brand signage where it suits both sides. Staffed stall rates and the deposit are set out on our event and fair catering rates page.
Sheen organiser questions
Do you cater school fairs in East Sheen?
Yes — a staffed Indian food stall or trays delivered for your own volunteers to serve. We provide the allergen list in advance and printed dish cards on the day, which schools usually need for their own records.
Is there a delivery charge to SW14?
No. East Sheen and West Sheen are well inside the free delivery radius from our Richmond kitchen.
Can you cater around the Great River Race in Sheen?
Yes. The course runs past Sheen and the race weekend is one of the busiest of the year for crew and spectator catering, so book early and tell us your access point on the towpath side.
