Not every event needs staff on site. A lot of the catering we do in Richmond is drop-off or collection: we cook, you serve. It is the most cost-effective way to feed a room, and it works well for office lunches, family gatherings, community halls and parties where someone on your side is happy to run the table.
Drop-off catering
Food is freshly prepared and delivered ready to serve in disposable or foil service trays at an agreed delivery time. You get the food hot, labelled and ready to go straight onto a table. There is no setup crew and no clear-down with a plain drop-off, which is exactly why it costs less than a managed buffet.
Collection from our kitchen
We also offer collection. You pick the order up from 16 Ashburnham Road, Richmond TW10 7NF at a time agreed when you book. There is no delivery fee on a collection order, and it gives you full control of when the food reaches the room. Bring a car boot you can keep flat and plan to serve within a short window of collecting.
Delivery fees and distance
Delivery is free within 10 miles of our Richmond kitchen. Between 10 and 20 miles a delivery fee applies and is shown as its own line on your quote. Anything further than that is still possible — the order is simply subject to a delivery fee quoted for the distance before you commit.
Self-service buffets that actually work
If you want the food to hold and look right for longer, ask for the managed buffet instead: trestle tables, table covers, chafing units and fuel, serving utensils, setup before service and clear-down afterwards. For a self-service drop-off, keep the table near a wall, put rice and mains at the start of the run, and let people queue from both ends if the room is large.
Which one to pick
Choose collection if you are close by and want the lowest total cost. Choose drop-off if you want the food to arrive without you leaving the venue. Choose a managed buffet for weddings, client events and anything where nobody on your side should be handling the food.
