Most wedding catering quotes are hard to compare because they hide the structure. Ours does not: the catering line is guest count multiplied by a per-head tier, plus a short list of things that sit outside it. Here is the whole picture.
The four tiers
| Package | Per head | Starters | Mains | Sides |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bronze | £25 | 1 | 2 | 1 |
| Silver | £35 | 2 | 3 | 2 |
| Gold | £45 | 3 | 4 | 3 |
| Platinum | £60 | 4 | 5 | 4 |
What changes between tiers is how many dishes you choose, not the standard of cooking. Every tier comes from the same kitchen at 16 Ashburnham Road.
Worked examples
The per-head figure does not change with volume, so the maths is simple and predictable:
- 80 guests on Silver £35 — £2,000
- 120 guests on Gold £45 — £3,600
- 200 guests on Gold £45 — £6,000
- 250 guests on Platinum £60 — £8,750
Be wary of anyone implying a large event is dramatically cheaper per head. Ours is a flat rate per head at each tier — what a bigger event changes is staffing, service length and logistics, not the per-head food price.
What sits outside the per-head figure
- Delivery beyond 10 miles. Free within 10 miles of our Richmond kitchen; a quoted fee for 10–20 miles.
- Bespoke selections. Choosing more dishes than your tier allows makes it a bespoke quote — we price it and show you before you confirm, rather than surcharging quietly.
- Premium proteins. Lamb and king prawn versions of a dish carry a per-head premium over chicken, paneer or vegetable.
- Tastings. Available by arrangement and chargeable — we do not offer free tastings.
- Venue charges. Some venues charge for using an external caterer. That is between you and the venue.
How payment works
50% deposit to secure the date, 50% balance. We do not offer credit accounts, purchase-order payment windows or staged instalments. It is deliberately simple, and it means the number you agree is the number you pay.
Where couples actually save money
Not by dropping a tier. The reliable savings are: an accurate final guest count instead of an optimistic one, choosing a venue within our free delivery radius, and keeping the menu inside your tier's allowance rather than adding a fifth main nobody finishes. Moving from Gold to Silver saves £10 per head; getting your final number right can save more than that on a 200-guest wedding.
Comparing quotes fairly
When you compare us with another caterer, line up four things: the per-head price, how many dishes it buys, what delivery costs, and what the payment terms are. A cheaper headline with fewer dishes and a delivery charge is often the more expensive booking.
Next steps: browse the full catering menu, check package prices per head, build a quote with your date and guest count, or send an enquiry. We cater across Richmond, Twickenham, Kingston upon Thames and every area we serve.
