Jaflong has been family-run in Richmond since 2008, and community events are some of the work we are proudest of. This guide sets out what we actually do in the community — with every claim tied to evidence we hold — and how organisers can work with us.
Where you will find us
- Ham Fair, Ham Common — we are a long-standing food stallholder at one of Richmond''s best-attended community days, held on the second Saturday in June. Read the Ham Fair case study.
- Hollyfest, Hollyfield School, Surbiton — we were the Hollyfest food partner in 2025 and were invited back by the Hollyfield PTA for 2026. Read the Hollyfest case study.
- School and PTA events — family-friendly menus for school fairs and fundraisers across Richmond, Ham, Kingston and Surbiton.
We pay our way at community events
We do not ask organisers for free pitches or "exposure". Trading at a fair means paying the organiser''s pitch fee — for example, the Hollyfest pitch fee is paid to the Hollyfield PTA to secure our spot, and Ham Fair publishes its own hot-food pitch fee. Community events exist to raise money for schools and local causes; our job is to serve good food and contribute to that, not to take from it.
Inclusive menus for mixed crowds
Community events bring every kind of guest, so our event menus always include vegetarian and vegan choices alongside halal-sourced meat and poultry, mild family-friendly dishes next to spicier ones, and clear dietary labelling at the stall. We agree allergens with the organiser before the event.
Honest claims, always
Every community claim on this website is tied to our internal evidence ledger. Where something is owner-confirmed but not yet independently documented, we say so — and case studies stay in draft until we have the organiser''s permission and dated evidence on file. We would rather show less and be believed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are you an official supplier to any school or fair?
No. We work with schools, PTAs and organisers on a per-event basis. We are a returning Hollyfest food partner and long-standing Ham Fair stallholder — not an exclusive or official supplier to any organisation.
Do you offer free catering for charity events?
Our community support is built around paying fair pitch fees and keeping event pricing accessible, so the event itself raises more. Talk to us about your event and we will explain what we can offer.
Can you handle dietary requirements at a public event?
Yes — vegetarian and vegan dishes come as standard, meat and poultry is halal-sourced, and we agree allergen information with the organiser in advance.
