Safeguarding, halal sourcing, allergen handling, and how to run a profitable PTA fair stall — from the team behind Hollyfest and Ham Fair.
Schools have higher standards than weddings — and rightly so. This guide covers what PTAs and bursars should be asking any caterer for fairs, sports days, parents' evenings, and end-of-year events. As a returning Hollyfest food partner (Hollyfield School, 2025 debut) and long-standing Ham Fair food stallholder, this is what we've learned.

School communities are diverse. We default to halal-sourced where requested, with clearly labelled vegan and vegetarian options and a printed 14-allergen matrix for every dish. Severe allergies (e.g. peanut, sesame) are handled with isolated prep.
PTA fairs live or die on queue speed. We bring high-throughput options — wraps, biryani boxes, kati rolls, samosa chaat — that serve 200 covers in an hour without slowing down. We can run on a fixed fee, a revenue share, or donate a percentage back to the PTA.
We don't wait to be asked. With every booking confirmation you'll receive: FSA Rating 5 certificate, professional event service certificate, halal supplier halal certificate, allergen matrix, risk assessment, and named trained lead.
