Match-day logistics that most caterers underestimate
On an international Saturday, the roads around Twickenham Stadium close in phases from three hours before kick-off. Whitton Road, Rugby Road and the eastern side of Chertsey Road are effectively pedestrianised, and any van that has not cleared the cordon by the closure time gets stuck for the rest of the day. We plan every match-day booking backwards from that closure window: food is delivered, plated and briefed to the client's front-of-house team a full ninety minutes before the first road closes, and our vehicle is out of the exclusion zone before it goes live.
